Mercer Island Saddle Club

Where adult and youth work together to develop leadership, independence, and a cooperative spirit.”

Mercer Island Saddle Club (MISC) is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to advance the skills and interests of its members through equestrian activities including riding lessons, clinics, shows, and pleasure riding. This cooperative facility relies solely on its boarders and members to maintain and care of its equine residents and property.

TWO BOY SCOUTS TO THE RESCUE!

We're excited to announce The Teacher's Cottage restoration is almost done! Carpentry, cabinets, lighting and appliances are all in progress as the countdown to occupancy begins for this July! But what about the yard? It's in a bit of a mess!

When there's digging to be done and young plants to plant, mulch and nuture...

When there are pavers to be dusted off, squared up and cemented...

there's two eager and fine teen Boy Scouts, Hudson Atrosh and Joshua Belden to the rescue!

Josh has stepped up to pave the way with the placement of donor named pavers and to secure an honorary donor bench is secured in a particularly sweet spot.

Hudson has been building muscle with yard clean up, digging garden beds, and planting native species to produce a natural eco-system that would have wowed the early 20th century teachers to see from their cottage kitchen window!

PLEASE GIVE GENEROUSLY TO COVER COSTS FOR HUDSON AND JOSH'S EXPENSES!

Providing youth the opportunity to foster their growth and leadership skills is a core value of all of us in operation here.

Thank you for supporting our vision and the cottage restoration! And Go Boy Scouts (and the Girls, too!)
