Join the Club

Mercer Island/Rainier Pony Club is a small new active United States Pony Club member based at the Mercer Island Saddle Club.

We offer:

  • Mounted riding lessons starting in July 2021.

  • One Junior/Badge unmounted lesson per month focusing on equine education and horsemanship for young children.

  • One D-Level unmounted lesson per month focusing on equine education and horsemanship for older children and adults.

  • Opportunities to achieve Pony Club riding and horse management certifications recognizing progression in riding skills and horse knowledge.

  • Opportunities to participate in Pony Club regional activities including camps and rallies.

Beginners through Advanced Riders welcome!

You need access to a suitable pony or horse if you wish to participate in mounted lessons. As of 2021, Pony Club offers a completely unmounted Horse Management track which allows horse enthusiasts who do not ride the opportunity to achieve certifications demonstrating proficiency in a variety of horse handling skills and management topics.
